FELLOWSHIP VINE Group

Vision

From the very beginning of the Christian Church, the mutual encouragement of one another's faith through fellowship has been a vital part of the church's life. We, therefore, want to be a church that encourages our members to get together for true biblical fellowship which promotes deepening relationships and generates the connections which enable us to minister to one another's needs in love.

Ideas

Plan and organize a variety of events that will allow the congregation to meet for fellowship and mutual encouragement.

Needs

Plan a yearly calendar of proposed fellowship events, such as:

Rider's Pond Activiites
Supper Clubs
Christmas Caroling
Christmas Party
Fifth Sunday Dinners
Reformation Sunday
Church Anniversaries
Banquets
Other events developed by the group

Organize events.

Secure venues for events.
Think of creative ways to promote events.
Prepare sign-up sheets and keep track of counts.
Purchase supplies as needed (or submit a shopping list.)
Submit bulletin annoucements and/or inserts to the church office.
Help secure volunteers for setup and cleanup.

Communicate.

Communicate with the Session to get approval for events.
Communicate with the church office to clear event dates.
Submit announcements to the church office for inclusion in the church bulletin.
Work with the Promotions and Outreach VINE group to promote events on the website and on Facebook.

Encouragement

Encourage the congregation and potential members to get involved in fellowship events.

Encourage members to exercise hospitality

Recruit church members to serve at fellowship events.
